However, the ban prevented them from doing this.The letter went on to say that they could meet the armies quota P-38's and produce up to 2000 commercial PP and PPK's a month. Keital was referring to a conversation he had with a Luftwaffe Major Graumann over Walther producing commercial PP and PPK's for the Luftwaffe. However, it didn't become effective until Mar 41. ![]() The year before the Army had forbidden Walther to manufacture commercial pistols, in lieu of the P-38. One is a letter from the Walther weapons factory, Herr Keital to the Reichs Minister for airtravel and Commander in Chief of the Luftwaffe. Neither are scan into the computer, at this time, so I could up load them. I have some copies of the letters and bill of sale. ![]()
